Stephen Paynter
Mr. Paynter sings 1st Tenor in the MET Chorus, as well as acting as the Assistant Chorus Manager.
He is from Stroudsburg, PA, and joined the full-time chorus in the 1999-2000 season. Mr. Paynter holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from James Madison University, and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.

Jeffrey Mosher
Mr. Mosher is originally from Des Moines, and currently lives in Harrington Park, NJ with his wife, two sons and two dogs.
He has Masters of Music degrees in Opera from the University of Texas and the Curtis Institute of Music. Before joining the Met, Mr. Mosher performed as a soloist in opera and concert in America and Germany. He has won several competitions including the New Jersey Met auditions and the Luciano Pavarotti International Competition.

Craig Montgomery
A full time chorister since 2004, he has sung 1,827 performances of 102 operas in seven languages and made 92 solo appearances with the MET.
Craig studied music at Ohio State University and began his professional career with Opera Columbus. Apprenticeships with the Des Moines, Central City, Florida Grand and Santa Fe opera companies followed. He has toured the US with the NYCO National Company and soloed in concert with the New York Symphonic Ensemble in Japan and Taiwan.

David Lowe
Mr. Lowe received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Voice and Opera from Juilliard where he studied with famous Met soprano Eleanor Steber.
He has performed over 140 solos on the Met stage. Mr. Lowe started as a soloist, appearing at the Spoleto Festival, Wolf Trap, Carnegie Hall, and Avery Fisher Hall, to name a few. He has a recurring role as a singing senator on the television series Alpha House and is also an accomplished pianist & songwriter.

Dustin Lucas
A graduate of North Texas University, Mr. Lucas joined the Met family in 2011.
He has studied voice with David Sundquist and Francois Loup.
Prior to joining the MET Chorus, Dustin was a member of the United States Navy Band Sea Chanters Chorus from 2007-2011, where he served as tenor soloist and conductor. He was privileged to serve by singing for Presidents Barrack Obama and George W. Bush, Joint Chiefs of Staff, cabinet members, and other high ranking national and world leaders.

Jeremy Little
Mr. Little is a graduate of Louisiana State University and The Juilliard School, and debuted as a principal artist with the Met in 2007.
Prior to joining the chorus in 2008, Jeremy was a principal artist with New York City Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Florentine Opera, and Des Moines Metro Opera, and performed as a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall and with New York Festival of Song in NYC and Washington, DC. Jeremy was on the Grammy-nominated live recording of Musto's Volpone.

Marco Antonio Jordão
Mr. Jordao was educated at the State University of São Paulo and has a Masters from New England Conservatory studying with Luretta Bybee.
While in São Paulo, he performed the roles of Ernesto, Ferrando and Don Jose. In the United States, he sang the American premiere of La Gazzetta by Rossini as Alberto. Other roles include Tito, Fritz, Nerone, and Alfred. He has also appeared as Tony Candolino in the play Master Class by Terrence McNally.

Bryan Griffin
Mr. Griffin has a Bachelor of Music from Juilliard, and has held apprenticeships at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Santa Fe, and Florida Grand Opera.
He has appeared as a principal artist with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival, Florida Grand Opera, L'Opéra de Montreal (concert), Cleveland Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, National Symphony of Costa Rica, Nashville Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Grant Park Music Festival, Austin Symphony, and many others.

David Frye
David Frye has sung countless performances since he joined the regular chorus in 1993, including 139 performances of small solo roles.

Gregory Cross
Mr. Cross studied at the Juilliard Opera Center and has performed in major opera houses in the United States and abroad.
Highlights in his solo career include performances of Gluck's Armide in the theatre of the Chateau de Versailles for their baroque festival, as well as performances of the Berlioz Requiem with the Montreal Symphony under Charles Dutoit.

Nathan Carlisle
Mr. Carlisle joined the Met Chorus in 2010 after serving five years in the official chorus of the United States Air Force in Washington, D.C.
Originally from Corpus Christi, TX, he holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from The University of North Texas as well as a Master of Music in Voice from Queens College.

Meredith Woodend
Meredith Woodend has been described as “intense and brimming with emotions...she had us on the edge of our seat.”
Meredith has sung with the Santa Fe Opera, San Francisco's Merola Opera, Orlando Opera, Connecticut Grand Opera and Dicapo Opera Theater. She was a Semi-Finalist for the George London Foundation, the Liederkranz Foundation, the Jensen Foundation Awards and the Metropolitan Opera National Council, New England Region.

Gloria Watson
Ms. Watson received a Bachelor of Music degree from Cincinnati Conservatory and a Master of Music degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.
She has performed with Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Chautauaqua, and Sarasota Opera. Ms. Watson has been at the Metropolitan Opera in the mezzo section since 1994 and has performed the Page in Rigoletto several times. She lives in Ridgewood, NJ with her husband.

Christina Thomson Anderson
Joined the Met Chorus in 2007
Ms. Thomson Anderson, graduate of the University of Kentucky and CCM, is native to the small town of Harris, IA, population 100.
She performed as an apprentice with Des Moines Metro Opera, Opera Theater St. Louis, and Glimmerglass Opera. Ms. Thomson Anderson would like to thank her teachers Barbara Hahn and Sylvia Plyer, as well as her loving family for their unending support. She and husband, Brian, are the proud parents to Quinlan, Arthur, Oliver, and Annika.

Rosalie Sullivan
Rosalie is a singer with a love for exploring new repertoire - be that in the concert hall, on the operatic stage, or with chamber ensemble.
Performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center Festival. A recipient of awards from Santa Fe Opera, Merola, and the Art Song Preservation Society and a fervent believer in the value of music, she was featured in "The Leading Lady vs. The Loser," an article by Alison Kinney for Narratively.

Patricia Steiner
Ms. Steiner has sung on the Met stage in solo roles over 100 times, and has also sung solo roles for Met Radio and Live in HD broadcasts.
Since joining the MET Chorus, she has performed in recitals in France and Poland. Her performing career includes concerts, recitals and operas across the United States. Ms. Steiner is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin River Falls and Northwestern University.

Annette Spann Lewis
Annette is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Musical Theater, and a Santa Fe Opera apprentice.
Recruited by David Stivender, she was part of the Centennial Celebration performances of Les Troyens. Her most memorable opera moments were Leontyne Price's farewell Aida, and when she appeared as a Carneige Hall soloist. She is a past Westchester Philharmonic Board Member, and in 2011 won the Martin Luther King Humanitarian Award.

Alexandra Newland
Alex was educated in a convent school in England. She later received a scholarship to the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto for voice.
She majored in English literature and vocal performance at the University of Toronto, and toured Canada extensively with the rock band GILT on bass/keyboards. The band’s highlight was performing at EXPO 86. Alex made her U.S. debut as Suzuki with Palm Beach Opera. Her greatest gift is her daughter Samantha.

Rosemary Nencheck
Ms. Nencheck is a native of Bernardsville, NJ. She received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Cincinnati, CCM.
After working as an apprentice with Santa Fe and Central City Operas, Ms. Nencheck pursued a solo career in Germany. She spent 6 years at Staatstheater Darmstadt and 8 years at Stadttheater Freiburg where she performed over 30 leading roles and had hundreds of performances. She joined the MET Chorus in August of 2001.

Melissa Lentz
Ms. Lentz has a B. Mus. degree from Peabody Conservatory where she studied with Elaine Bonazzi and was the youngest member ever of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society.
Ms. Lentz went on to perform as a soloist and as a chorister with the Baltimore Opera Company and the Lyric Opera of Chicago before joining the MET Chorus in 1993. She lives in Manhattan with her daughter Catherine, a former member of the MET Children's Chorus.
