Andrea Coleman
Ms. Andrea Coleman is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and joined the Metropolitan Opera Chorus for the 2012-2013 season.
She received her Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Kansas and her Masters degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory in Boston, MA. Career highlights include performances with Glimmerglass Opera, Tanglewood Music Festival, Minnesota Opera, and Boston Lyric Opera. Ms. Coleman made her chorus solo debut in Merry Widow in the 2014-2015 season.

Joseph Turi
Mr. Turi was raised in Wilton, Connecticut and has been a full time member of the MET chorus since 2006.
He received his Bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary. He has sung all over Europe as well as in the United States and Israel.

Christopher Schaldenbrand
Mr. Schaldenbrand joined the MET Chorus after a distinguished international career singing with some of the world's leading opera houses.
He is a former Lindemann Young Artist and winner of the Met National Council Auditions, making his debut as Silvano in Un ballo in maschera and singing a total of 267 performances. Mr. Schaldenbrand also appeared on the Met stage in the roles of Schaunard (La bohème), Guglielmo (Cosi fan tutte), and Albert (Werther).

Timothy Breese Miller
Timothy Breese Miller, bass, has sung as a soloist in both opera and musical theatre, and has performed numerous solos at the Met.
His opera career includes solos with Greater Miami Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and as a member of the Vienna State Opera Studio. Musicals include over 500 performances of Raoul in Phantom of the Opera (in German), seven of the Encores! productions and King David on Broadway. Tim's solo CD is Broadway to Berlin.

Brandon Mayberry
Mr. Mayberry, a living kidney donor, received his Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University, and continued his studies at Indiana University.
Mr. Mayberry has appeared in solo roles with the Met Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago (Ryan Opera Center), San Francisco Opera (Merola), Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Chicago Opera Theater and Des Moines Metro Opera. He was also an owner of Swirlz Cupcakes, a Chicago bakery dedicated to "making people happy". Sadly, after 15 years in business, Swirlz closed up shop for good in 2020, but sweet memories still remain!

Seth Malkin

Jason Hendrix
A previous winner of the Mid-South Region Metropolitan Opera Auditions, Mr. Hendrix joined the MET chorus in 2001.
He studied at Appalachian State University (Bachelor of Music), and U. of Mississippi (Master of Music). Solo engagements include Triangle Opera Theater, National Grand Opera, Chautauqua Opera, New Jersey Choral Society and Artist-in-Residence with Opera Carolina Theatre. He also sang with the New York City Opera chorus for ten years.

Ned Hanlon

Ned Hanlon, graduate of McGill University and University of Michigan, is a Long Island boy making good with the Metropolitan Opera. Favorite roles include Figaro, Sparafucile, Dick Deadeye, Sarastro, and Nick Bottom with companies such as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Lincoln Center Theatre, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Des Moines Metro Opera and the Glimmerglass Festival. He dreams of singing another Figaro with his beautiful wife, soprano Tanya Roberts. His first novel is is due to be released

Ross Benoliel
Mr. Benoliel received degrees from both the University of Michigan School of Music and The Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.
He was twice a New England finalist in the Met National Council Auditions, an invited finalist in Placido Domingo's Operalia competition, and a Liederkranz Foundation prizewinner. Roles include Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Valentin in Faust. He has appeared with Glimmerglass Opera, Hong Kong Opera, and NYCO, to name a few.

Edward Albert
Edward has performed more than seventy-five roles with companies in North America, Europe and Asia. In the United States, his solo credits include Carnegie Hall, The Metropolitan Opera, Philadelphia's Academy of Music, San Francisco's War Memorial Opera House, and all four theaters of The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
He earned a Bachelor of Music degree at university and was selected for merit-based scholarships with four prestigious organizations: the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia; San Francisco’s Merola Program; Wolf Trap’s Studio Artist Program; and the European Center for Opera and Voice in Belgium.
The Metropolitan Opera National Council and the Puccini Foundation awarded Edward prizes in their competitions; and Luciano Pavarotti personally selected him as a world finalist in the competition named for the esteemed tenor.
Edward says:
Singing full-time in the Met Chorus allows me to live and work in the same city -- something I rarely experienced during my years as a freelance soloist. When a vacancy opens in the Chorus roster, hundreds of well-trained singers apply for the job, so I feel very lucky to have been hired as a member of this elite team. All 22 operas I’m performing this season will be broadcast around the world in either audio or HD video, which means native speakers of Italian, French, German, Russian and Czech will be listening – and watching!

Daniel Clark Smith
Daniel Clark Smith, born in Barrington, IL, has degrees in Music Ed. and Choral Conducting from The University of Cincinnati – College-Conservatory of Music, and has loved singing in ensembles all his life. In concert, he particularly enjoys performing the Evangelist roles in J.S. Bach’s Passions. At the Met, favorite roles include a Lackey in Der Rosenkavalier, a soldier in Wozzeck and Parpignol in La Bohème, a role he has performed 100 times with the company.

Salvatore D. Rosselli
Mr. Rosselli was born in New Haven, CT and has been with the Met for 25 years. He is humbly honored to be part of this institution.
He became a full-time chorister in the 1998-99 season after 7 years with the extra chorus and has a Bachelors from the Philadelphia Music Academy, now the University of the Arts. Mr. Rosselli worked on his Masters at Temple University and performed as a guest artist with The Curtis Institute of Music.

Kurt Phinney
Kurt Phinney joined the MET Chorus full-time in 1994, became Assistant Chorus Manager in 2000 and Chorus Manager in 2001.
He earned a Bachelors degree with Honors from the University of Massachusetts, as well as a Masters degree and Doctorate from Columbia University where he taught Musicianship, Music Humanities, Diatonic Harmony and Chromatic Harmony. In 1988 he won an ASCAP award for his Missa Brevis.

Marc Persing
Mr. Persing is in his 15th season in the full-time chorus at the Met. He made his solo debut as A Villager in La fille du regiment in 2011. This past summer Marc had the pleasure of performing the role of Gamaliel in his church's production of Upside Down: A Musical Tale After the Christ.
Other recent Met solo credits include Welko (Arabella). He has performed the roles of Tamino (Westminster Opera Theater), Frederic (NYGASP), and The Prince in Warren Martin's Cinderella (LONJ). Mr. Persing has also enjoyed performing many musical theatre roles including Robert (Company) and Rapunzel's Prince (Into the Woods).
