Greek mezzo-soprano Karolina Pilou has been hailed as having a “massive, sinfully rich voice” (New York Observer). She made her Metropolitan Opera debut in the 2016-17 season as Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and returned as The Voice from Above in Parsifal, Albine (cover) in Thais, and Mistress Quickly (cover) in Verdi's Falstaff. She has sung with The British Youth Opera, Aspen Music Festival, Teatro Grattacielo, Intermountain Opera Bozeman, and LoftOpera. As a concert and oratorio singer she has performed at NJPAC, with the Little Orchestra Society of New York and at Carnegie Hall.
